The M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-600mm f/5-6.3 IS Lens from OM SYSTEM. Ideal for bird and wildlife photography, this super telephoto lens provides a full-frame equivalent zoom range of 300 to 1200mm and reaches a maximum length of 2400mm when used with a teleconverter. Lens image stabilization and various control switches are incorporated in the design to give you an edge while shooting handheld. Featured in the lens's intricate configuration are four Super ED and two ED elements which help create sharper imagery with greatly reduced chromatic aberrations. To reduce camera shake and ensure sharper images while handheld shooting, Sync IS provides 7 steps of correction on the wide end and 6 steps on the telephoto end. The lens alone without Sync IS has 6 steps of correction on the wide end and 5 steps on the telephoto end. Simultaneously, the inclusion of these lens elements ensures images have optimized color accuracy and clarity.

OM System OM-1 Mark II Mirrorless Camera with 12-40mm F/2.8 Pro II Lens – Overview

Professional Build & Design

The OM System OM-1 Mark II maintains a rugged, weather-sealed magnesium alloy body, designed to withstand dust, splashes, and freezing conditions. Its compact yet durable design makes it an excellent choice for photographers who often shoot outdoors and in unpredictable environments.

Advanced Sensor & Processing Power

At its core, the OM-1 Mark II features a 20.4MP Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor paired with the TruePic X processor. This powerful combination ensures excellent image quality, faster readout speeds, and superior low-light performance with minimal noise across a wide ISO range.

Autofocus & Speed

The camera is equipped with an advanced AI-powered autofocus system that recognizes and tracks subjects such as humans, birds, animals, and vehicles. Continuous shooting speeds up to 120 fps (with AF/AE lock) and 50 fps (with AF/AE tracking) make it an outstanding tool for sports, wildlife, and action photography.

Video Capabilities

For content creators, the OM-1 Mark II records up to 4K DCI/UHD at 60p and Full HD at 240p for smooth slow motion. High dynamic range options and 10-bit recording expand creative possibilities, while OM-Log400 ensures greater flexibility in post-production.

High-Resolution & Computational Features

The camera supports handheld and tripod High-Res Shot modes, generating images up to 80MP. Additional computational features like Live ND, Focus Stacking, and Pro Capture give photographers more tools to achieve creative results directly in-camera.

Vari-Angle LCD & EVF

A 5.76M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder provides a crisp, high-magnification view, while the fully articulating 3-inch LCD touchscreen enhances framing flexibility for photography and video recording.

12-40mm F/2.8 Pro II Lens

Bundled with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F/2.8 Pro II lens, this kit covers a versatile focal range (24-80mm equivalent in 35mm terms). Its constant f/2.8 aperture ensures bright performance in low light and consistent depth of field across the zoom range. Advanced optics and coatings reduce aberrations, while its weather-sealed build matches the camera’s ruggedness.

Conclusion

The OM System OM-1 Mark II paired with the 12-40mm F/2.8 Pro II lens delivers a powerful, portable, and versatile solution for professionals and enthusiasts alike. With its cutting-edge autofocus, computational features, high-speed shooting, and durable design, this kit is ideal for photographers and videographers who demand reliability and creative flexibility in any environment.
